VCH Red River Valley - Soil Carbon
Story
Soil carbon sequestration across North Dakota and Minnesota farmland, delivered by a team with 27 years in agricultural services. Science-based measurement of deep soil layers for verified, permanent removal. Backed by BCarbon V2.0 methodology.
Full Project Description
The Red River Valley spans some of the most productive agricultural land in North America. This project puts that soil to work for the climate.
Veteran's Carbon Holdings works directly with farming communities across North Dakota and Minnesota, applying scientifically validated techniques to measurably increase the carbon stored in deeper soil layers - where it stays. Foliar treatments boost organic root mass. Humic acid applications support soil health and yield. Good Land Management Practices are applied consistently across participating farms.
The result is 5,432 tonnes of verified CO2 removal, measured using the BCarbon Soil Carbon Protocol V2.0 - a methodology specifically designed for deep-layer agricultural carbon with enhanced permanence and stability.
What makes this project distinct is who's doing it. Veteran's Carbon Holdings brings 27+ years of agricultural services expertise to carbon development, with a programme built around keeping economic benefits local. Farmers gain an additional revenue stream. Rural communities gain resilience. The climate gains real, traceable removals.
Every credit is verified, recorded on-chain, and fully traceable from field to retirement.
