Red Hill Farm

Story
We are young farmers with a young family, who have been given a fantastic first opportunity to farm our very own holding at Red Hill Farm. We farm approximately 100 acres which is mostly permanent grazing pastures. There are 6.5km of hedgerows around the farm which have existed for many years, and attracts many different wildlife species.
We currently farm a sheep flock of 200 breeding ewes which include, 160 blackface sheep, 25 pedigree Hampshire Down’s and 15 pedigree Texels. These are lambed between the months of December and April, with the Hampshire Downs lambing in December and the Blackface ewes lambing in February/March and all lambs are sold for breeding and meat in the Autumn. We take good pride in our stock and have built up a very good reputation of producing high quality lambs.
During the summer months, as a family we enjoy taking our pedigree stock out to shows all over the country and have been rewarded very well, having been awarded Champion several times.
We took our tenancy on for Red Hill Farm in March 2021 and prior to this we have farmed our livestock for over 8 years together. Red Hill Farm has given us the opportunity to expand our livestock and farm our own holding and allows our young children to follow in our footsteps.
